Latest Letters to Parents
Students must not attend school if they, or one of their household, is showing symptoms of Coronavirus.
These symptoms are described as:
- a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back
- a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours
- a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal
Most people with Coronavirus have at least one of these symptoms
It is important that if your child has any of the above symptoms they should isolate at home (along with the rest of the household) in-line with government guidance, or until a test has proved to be negative. You will find relevant advice by following the link here:
If a child becomes unwell at school with any of the symptoms above, they will need to go home and follow government advice.
